Endure high expectations and live your life

Who here graduated from high school and was expected to go to college, get a degree, and make a good living?

I think a lot of us were.

Since I left high school and became an adult, my parents have always agreed with whatever choice I made.

I was expected to go to school, focus on my studies, and find a job, no matter what, but I did what I wanted because I was determined to do it. You can do the same.

Work hard enough to have some savings, a good amount of money, and some investments.
If you have high hopes, getting your finances in order is a great place to start. Even though you’ll have to work more and stick to a budget, you’ll be glad you did this in the long run.

Money isn’t everything, but it helps you get what you want and need.

  • Saving gives you peace of mind.
  • Spending money gives you chances.
  • Investing gives you the chance to grow.
  • Without money, I would never have been able to do as much as I have. Early on, I worked at a small company managing the accounts.

I was able to buy a Laptop, Cameras, and money to travel with the money I made. All of these things helped me be more productive and creative.

“What we really want to do is what we are meant to do.” When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play.

— Julia Cameron

Don’t spend more than you can afford. Instead, live on what you can afford or less.

Every single dollar you spend is important. Fashion, adventures, things from Amazon, and so much more.

I’ve never been someone who likes to show off, but I do like to have good things in my life.

Having your finances in order doesn’t give you the right to live a luxurious life if you can’t afford it. I had to lose everything to learn a lesson.

40% of people who make more than $100,000 a year said that’s how they live.

Being broke taught me that if you don’t work toward your goals or look for ways to get better, you’ll stay where you are for a long time.

“Please don’t spend more than you can afford. You can’t spend more than you make and still have enough money. I promise you that you will be happier than if you were always worried about how to make the next payment on non-essential debt.”

— T. S. Monson

Don’t be afraid to make your own choices because you might fail.

Anyone can tell you what you should do with your life and what they think you should do.

You can listen to what they say, and it might help you. It could also make you unhappy and angry.

With my parents’ help, I was able to try so many different things without worrying about whether or not I would succeed.

Failure taught me the most important lessons in my life.
I learned a lot about video editing and being in front of an audience when I started a YouTube channel.
Writing taught me how to organise my thoughts and share them with other people.
When I joined the Army, I learned how to get out of my comfort zone, make mistakes, and move on.
Motivation must come from the inside out. You can’t get anywhere if you don’t have a strong desire. So, even though I work extra hours, serve in the military, and cook more than I eat out, my current way of life is paid for.

“The universe doesn’t have a set plan. Once you make a choice, everything else works around that choice. There is no right or wrong. Instead, there are a number of possibilities that change with every thought, feeling, and action you have.”

— Deepak Chopra

How to deal with high hopes and live the life you love

Work hard enough to have some savings, a good amount of money, and some investments. If you don’t have money, you have no power. Once you know that, you can take charge of your life and stop worrying about what other people think about you.
Don’t spend more than you can afford. Always live at or below your means. Even people who make a lot of money can get into trouble if they have unstable spending habits. Pay as much attention to how much money you spend as you do to how much you make.
Don’t be afraid to make your own choices because you might fail. You can’t expect to be successful. Every time you try something, you’ll get a different result. What matters is what you can put up with and are willing to work for.
